Last Kiss

"The flight leaves in 3 hours and we are checking out of here in an hour so I'm going to run to the bakery on the corner and get you something special for breakfast Princess" Angus tells me when we are lying in bed Saturday morning. I packed my bag last night, leaving out my clothes that I will need for today, just need to shower and eat breakfast and go.
"Can I stay here or do you need me to come with you?" I ask him
"You can stay, I won't be long baby" He says as he throws clothes on quickly, he kisses me then leaves. I lay back and allow myself 5 minutes of serenity before my busy day begins but my serenity is broken by the buzzing of Angus' phone, in his hast to get dressed he forgot to grab it and now all I can hear is the vibration of the phone on the bedside table, I know who it is before I look at the screen but there's her name 'Steph Washington' destroying my serenity. The buzzing stops momentarily but starts again a minute later, she's just going to keep calling until it's answered I reason with myself so I pick up the phone and slide the screen to answer the call.
"Ugh about time Angus, seriously, you know I hate when you don't answer" She bellows into the phone
"This isn't Angus, it's his girlfriend actually. He's not here but I'll be sure to tell him you called" I say in a tone I don't even recognise 
"Shit, sorry, I forgot he was with you, I'm glad he finally told you though" She says in her high pitched, singsong voice as I hear the keycard in the door, the door swings open and there is Angus.
"Baby, I forgot my..." He says as he comes in, then he sees me, his phone in my hand.
"Ah Steph, he's just walked back in" I tell her and hand the phone to Angus. There's a fire burning inside me, finally told me what exactly? That he is cheating on me with her? I storm off to the shower, alone, I don't want to hear their conversation, I'm just too angry, I'm angry at Steph for calling, I'm angry at Angus for hiding the calls from me but mostly I'm angry at myself for not speaking up sooner and now I look like the idiot girl who was in denial that her boyfriend was cheating on her.

The water is warm against my skin, it tingles and I let it wash over my face as I stand motionless under the rainfall shower head. I feel the tears escaping my eyes and I don't think I can stand up any longer, I crouch into a ball on the shower floor, placing my head on my knees, my hands under my legs and I let the sadness engulf me. I didn't even notice the water had stopped flowing until I feel the towel being wrapped around me. I pull my head up from my knees, my eyes sting from crying and my face is flush. He is sitting on the bathroom floor, knees pulled up to his chest, hands coving his face.
"It's not what you think" He says after a long silence
"What I think it is is that your ex girlfriend has been calling you for weeks and you've been hiding it from me" I say in a small voice, my fire has gone
"You knew?" He asks shocked, I stand up and dry myself off, step over him and walk out to where I left the clothes I forgot to grab before I stormed off. I dress myself quickly and I can feel that fire coming back.
"I guess you're not that good at covering your tracks" I yell at him
"Zoey I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to worry" He claims
"You thought hiding this from me wouldn't make me worry? Really?" I question him, "If you've done nothing wrong then you wouldn't have felt like you had to hide it from me, Hiding things is what deceitful people do, people who lie and cheat. Is it just phone calls or have you seen her too?" I stare at him, watching the colour drain from his face and the shame creep in.
"I saw her last week, we had coffee and talked. She knows about you, doesn't know details though like your name" His voice is small as he explains 
"So she knows you're with me right now and she still keeps calling you?" I yell
"She didn't know we were here, I didn't tell her that and I haven't answered any calls from her while we've been here" He tells me
"That's so thoughtful, not telling your mistress that you've taken your girlfriend on holiday, I'm sure next week you'll fly her somewhere too, don't worry, I won't call you while you're with her, I'm respectful like that" I explode
"She is not my mistress Zoey, she is my friend" He yells at me
"Your friend? Wow, a few months ago you hated her and now you're friends?" Im shocked
"I never said I hated her, I hated what she did but I never hated her Zoey. I am here with you, I want to be with you" He pleads with me
"And what about when you're not with me Angus? I really only see you on the weekends, that's a lot of time in between and I know you" I scream
"So I must be fucking her then? That's what you're saying, that I'm fucking Steph because I spend time alone with her and because I'm a man who can't control himself. I spend time alone with Annabelle too, I guess I'm fucking her too and Tess, we are alone sometimes, I'm fucking Tess too" He yells at me, he picks up his phone and throws it hard at the wall, the phone hits the wall and it breaks in two and I stand there stunned, I have no more words. I grab my bag from the floor and storm out the door towards the elevator, I no longer want to look at him. I sit in the hotel lobby alone, I watch him exit the elevator, walk to the desk and check out, then walks up to me
"Let's go" He says in a sour tone

We drive to the airport in silence, not even the radio is on. I stare out the window, watching the palm trees and mansions pass. I'm not sad, just angry. I feel his hand touch my knee and squeeze it, I push his hand away from me, I want nothing to do with him and I'm not ready to let this go.
We arrive at the airport, check in and walk to the lounge. I fill a plate with toast, eggs, bacon and grab a glass of juice. I find a table and sit down, I'm exhausted from the fight, from the crying and the yelling. I see Angus standing at the buffet talking to a girl with dark hair, he points to me and dark haired girl turns around and I see that it's Cassie. She runs over to where I am and we hug tightly
"Zoey what are you doing here? I've missed you so much.Are you flying first class?" She has so many questions
"Zoey and I came on holidays here for a couple of days and yes, we are flying first class" Angus walks up behind Cassie, answering her questions
"This is awesome" She exclaims
"Do you want to swap seats on the flight Cassie?" Angus asks her
"You don't want to sit next to me?" I ask him, insulted slightly but not surprised
"I just thought since you and Cassie haven't seen each other in two weeks that you would appreciate catching up on a 3 hour flight. Plus I'm probably not going to be much company anyway, I've got reports and schedules to do" He explains to me and then turns to Cassie "Hold her hand on take off and tell her to keep breathing, she gets a bit scared with take off" He tells her.
"I was sitting next to my dad and all he does is talk business and I hate talking business so you saved me, Thanks Angus, you're the best" Cassie praises him, "Your boyfriend is the best Zoey" She tells me and I smile at her because if I don't smile I will cry.

We take our seats on the plane, me next to Cassie and Angus next to Mr Goth a few rows in front of us. I watch as Angus and Mortimer starts chatting, then laughing, across the row from them is Alexander, Cassie's younger brother and Bella Goth. 
"What's been happening?" Cassie asks me, taking my hand, preparing for take off
"Not much, just came for a holiday and now going home" I tell her sadly
"Zoey?" She questions me
"I had a fight with Angus this morning, I think he's cheating on me with his ex" I break down
"Really?" She says shocked, "What happened?'
I give her all the details, the secret phone calls, how he had coffee with her, the fight and how he brought up about sleeping with Tess
"Zoey he wouldn't cheat on you with Tess" She tries to reassure me
"No but he would with his ex and the fact that he brought up Tess means that at some point he has thought about it, maybe he has some creepy twin fetish, I don't know, I feel like I don't know him at all and when we get off this plane I'm going to have to go back to his house and he's going to want to talk about his great new friendship with his ex girlfriend and then he'll act like I'm in the wrong for not understanding his great new friendship with his ex" I say quietly through tears, I don't want to create a scene on a plane full of strangers.
"Come back to my house, we will get ice cream and watch Buffy, kicking ass is comfort food remember?" Cassie offers
"Your parents won't mind will they?" I ask
"Not at all" She says and she squeezes my hand

We grab our bags from the carousel after landing, Cassie holds my hand for support as Angus approaches us.
"Ready to go home Princess?" He asks shyly, smile on his face, he thinks we've moved past the fight, that the 3 hours apart was enough time for me to calm down and get over it but I'm not over it, Im still angry, still hurt, still raw.
"I'm going to go home with Cassie" I tell him, I look at Cassie and give her a nod that it's ok if she steps away, she joins her family to tell them I'll be joining them. Angus looks at me with sadness in his eyes.
"Baby please, we can get through this. I want to spend tonight with you" He says, reaching out to touch my hand.
"Don't you dare fucking touch me or call me baby or Princess or any other cutesy name. I'm done Angus, I'm going home with Cassie and I want you to never contact me ever again. You want to talk about sleeping with Tess then you don't get to be in my life"  I tell him, calmly, clearly, grab my bag and walk away from him, it's only when I'm standing with Cassie that the tears fall from my eyes, I will not let him see that he broke me.

"Del sol Valley Celebrity walk of fame and then a movie?" Angus asks me over breakfast.
"Sounds like good way to spend our last day here" I enthuse, I'm sad that it's coming to an end and that we are flying home tomorrow.
"We have a lot more of the day to fill in though" He reminds me
"We can do relaxing things, go for a swim, go in the spa, get a massage" I make suggestions
"I could give you a massage" He says, winking at me
"We can read books, I'm still reading 'The Seduction by the Sea', almost finished though" I say, ignoring his flirtation
"You've been reading that since last week, it took me two days to finish that book" He says shocked 
"You didn't have someone distracting you though" I laugh
"You like when I distract you, you told me so" He winks again and I steal a strawberry from his bowl.
"Oh wow, this tastes exactly like..."
"The ones in our cafe?"
"Yes, so good"
"This is where we get them from, out here" He tells me and I steal another strawberry, "Zoey I'm going to spank you if you keep taking my strawberries" He looks at me with that cheeky smile on his face.
"Promise?" I fire back, matching his smile and grabbing another strawberry. He gets up from where he's sitting and walks around to my side of the table, standing over me.
"Stand up" He demands, I do as he asks, he puts his arms around my waist and lifts me off the ground and I wrap my legs around his torso and kiss him deeply.
"You're so cheeky Princess, I love it" He laughs as he spanks me softly
"I love you Angus" I tell him, looking into his eyes, "Ive had a lovely holiday with you"
"I love you too Zoey and it's not over yet"
"I know but I'm sad that it's ending and I'll be back at school soon and back to only seeing you properly on weekends until I graduate"
"I know baby but it's only for a few months and we can fill those weekends together having adventures" He promises but it still makes me sad thinking about it., "Smile baby, we are going to have an awesome day" He says kissing me and I smile brightly
"Shower?" I suggest
"You say shower but all I hear is sex" He teases, placing me back on my feet and I run off to start the shower. I take off my nightdress and come back out to throw it at him
"Coming?" I ask as I remove my panties, roll them into a ball and throw them at him too
"I'm enjoying the show" He says, walking towards me, stopping briefly to remove his own boxers. 

I love the shower in our hotel, it's one of those rainfall ones where the shower head is on the ceiling and the water falls into the middle of the shower. He picks me up and I wrap my legs around his torso again, he guides himself inside me and I put my arms around his neck as the warm water falls down upon us. My hips gyrate with his own movements, slow at first and then faster and faster. He arches me back slightly, placing a hand on my shoulder blade and kisses my breasts, pulls me back in close to him and kisses me deeply.
"Im going to arrive" I announce as my body reaches an exploding peak and I feel his final thrusts as he lets go inside me.
"The best part about shower sex is that you can get clean while you get dirty" He laughs and I unwrap my legs as he pulls out of me, I place my feet back on the shower floor.
"That was good" I tell him and he grabs the body wash, squeezes some onto a sponge and starts  massaging it into my skin, "You're really good at doing that"
"At?" He questions like he doesn't know what I'm referring to
"At the sex, you're good at it" 
"Really? You're not just saying that to stroke my ego?"
"You're the best I've ever had" I praise him
"Zoey, I'm the only sex you've ever had" He laughs, "But I'll take the compliment. You're really good too, you keep up with me"
"You lie" I laugh
"I never lie Zoey" He says seriously and it's true, he doesn't

The Del Sol Valley Celebrity Walk of Fame is amazing, so many famous names like Judith Ward and Dustin Dreamer. We buy a souvenir star and add Tess' name to it. I take a picture and send it to her and she calls me not even a second later
"One day that will be real" She tells me
"I know but for now you can have this one to inspire you" I tell her
"Thank you Zoey and thank Angus for me"
"I will Tess, I miss you so much, I can't wait to see you on Sunday and tell you everything"
"Miss you too"
We end our call and Angus walks me to the Plumbob Movie Theatre 
"What are we seeing my Princess?" He asks as we stand in front of the showings board
"Lost Dog's Journey Home looks good, can we see that?" I ask
"That actually looks really good" He says, "Popcorn?"
"Of course, you can't see a movie without popcorn"
We buy our tickets and snacks and head on in. The movie is awesome, it's about a dog that wanders too far from home, looking for his enemy and gets lost and has an adventure getting home.
"That movie makes me want to get a puppy" I announce when the credits roll
"That movie made me sad about my puppy" He says, sadness in his eyes
"You miss her don't you?'
"Yeah, she's a good dog, I wish I'd taken her with me" 
"Why didn't you?"
"I live in a penthouse apartment and Steph lives in a house with a big back yard so Nortica can run around and play there, it seemed more logical that Steph take Nortica but I miss my dog" He explains and I take his hand and squeeze it, not knowing what to say, "Sorry Zoey, I didn't mean to bring down movie day" He apologises.
"You have nothing to be sorry about" I assure him.

We walked back to the hotel in the afternoon, the sun blazing down on us and the heat was intense.
"Do you want to go in the spa?" Angus asks me when we walk into our room.
"Fantastic idea" I say as I change into my red bikini and walk out to the balcony, he joins me, wearing a red speedo. We climb in to the spa together and cuddle up, my legs lay across his lap.
"Where are you planing on living next year" He asks me as he runs his fingers through my hair
"Probably a dorm room"
"If you wanted to we could get an apartment together" 
"In San Mysuno?" I ask, as if there's somewhere else that has apartments
"Yeah, it's near Britechester so the commute isn't too far and I'd get to see you every day" He explains
"Could we get a place with 2 bedrooms?" I ask
"Of course but why do we need an extra room?"
"Tess and I always planned on sharing a dorm room" I tell him
"Tess can live with us baby, I know it's important to you to keep your promise to your sister plus it would give me a chance to be able to stir her up every day" He says and I kiss him passionately, running my palm down his chest and along his torso, "So is that a yes?" He asks
"It's a conditional yes" I tell him
"What's the condition?" He questions, confused 
"You have to learn how to cook" I inform him and he looks panicked, "Only basic things, nothing too in-depth...at first" I giggle
"Deal" He agrees.

"Do you want to go out for dinner or eat in?" He asks after we've dried off from our spa
"I feel like eating in tonight so we can relax on our last night here" I tell him and he grabs a room service menu
"What do you feel like gorgeous?"
"Cheeseburger and fries please" I say and he places the call through to room service, half hour later they deliver our food and we eat together at the dinning table, him with his grilled salmon and me with my cheeseburger and the fries that he keeps stealing from my plate.
"I will spank you Angus if you take another fry" I giggle at him
"Oh Zoey don't tease me"He says as he reaches out and takes another fry.
"That's it, get up" I demand, standing up and walking over to where he is, he stands up in front of me, crossing his muscly arms across his chest and stares me down
"Im waiting Zoey" He says, pretending to be stern. I raise my palm and bring it down, hard, on his ass cheek, he doesn't flinch, he just laughs
"That was cute" He smiles at me
"I was aiming for hot" I tell him disappointed, he leans down, places his hand under my chin and kisses me softly.
"I like cute" He says with a cheeky smile.

I know Places

"If I asked you to marry me what would you say?" Angus says casually while sipping his coffee, I almost spit mine out, I wasn't expecting a proposal before caffeine has even had a chance to set in.
"I'd remind you that I'm 18"
"You're almost 19 Zoey and it's not going to be anytime soon, I promise, I'm just thinking out loud really" He laughs
"You'd have to ask my parents too" I throw this in knowing Don and Ruth would never be on board with one of their teenage daughters getting married
"Is that a challenge? I could win them over" He says cocky
"And Tess too" I add
"Bold of you to assume I haven't discussed my plans with Tess" He smiles at me
"Have you?" I ask him shocked
"Your breakfast is getting cold Princess" He avoids answering me, "I was thinking, if you wanted to, that we could visit a studio today, see where all the magic is made?" He asks, completely changing the subject, my eyes go wide like a kid on christmas who has just discovered the presents.
"I would love that" I exclaim, jumping up from my seat and running over to hug him, he pulls his chair back from the table to allow me to sit in his lap.
"There's only downfall though" He says in a low tone
"Hmm?"
"We have to also visit Pectoral Fitness"
"You come on holidays and still go to the gym?" I laugh
"I wanna keep looking like this" He explains, "You don't have to come if you don't want to"
"I'll come, maybe I can be the one who gives out orders" I suggest
"You want to train me baby?" He asks, flexing his muscles 
"I was joking" I laugh, "But I could give you a workout"
"Please don't let that be a joke" He says, kissing me deeply.

We drive to Plumbob Pictures Studio and join a guided tour around the studio lots. 
"This is where 'College Cram' was filmed" announces our tour guide as we pass a backlot of frat houses
"I love that movie" I tell Angus
"Zoey, you love every movie" He laughs at me, it's true, I love nothing more than taking in a movie on a Saturday afternoon.
"We should see a movie while we are out here?" I suggest to him, "I know we can do that back home but there's something fun about seeing a movie while you're on holiday"
"I like that idea" He replies, "Tomorrow we will see a movie, ladies pick"
"Are you sure because you know I'll pick something romantic and you might get bored" I fret
"I'm never bored with you Princess" He promises
"Over here you will see Dustin Dreamer, star of 'Roaring Vice', Hey Dustin" The guide says as she waves to him, we all stop to take photos with Dustin, even Angus, the most confident person I've ever met goes to jelly meeting his favourite celebrity from his favourite movie. I can't help but giggle at him fanboying. 
"You know Tess wants to be an actress? Can you imagine her out here?" I ask Angus
"With her drive and ambition I could see that" He replies
"She'll get famous and forget about us" I laugh
"She would never forget about you Zoey" He says seriously, taking my hand and giving it a little squeeze.

After our tour we go for lunch at 'Orchid a Go Go', a lounge across from the studios, we order our food and grab drinks, find a table in the corner.
'That was so much fun, thank you for today" I say to Angus
"You're welcome baby, I had fun too" He replies, "And we got to meet Dustin Dreamer" His eyes light up
"You're so cute when you have a man crush" I tease him
"How can you not have a crush on him?" He asks in all seriousness
"I'll admit, he is attractive and does all his own stunts which is impressive" I laugh
"I do all my own stunts too" He tells me, getting defensive
"Is someone looking for an ego boost?" I ask him, placing my hand on his knee
"Yes" He admits laughing. 
Our food arrives, fancy versions of ordinary food we have back home but it tastes extraordinary. I have a hot dog with melted cheese and bacon bits smothered on top and fries,  Angus, of course, goes for his healthier option of grilled chicken breast and steamed vegetables, he keeps distracting me though so he can steal my fries. 
"You'll need swim wear when we go to the gym" He tells me
"There's a pool there?" I ask, excited
"Yeah" 
"You couldn't have told me about the pool this morning when you were trying to convince me to come?"
"In hindsight I probably should of mentioned the pool first knowing how much you like water" He laughs
"So I can swim while you work out?" I ask
"You can swim while I'm in a business meeting" He says casually
"Is this a business holiday?"
"It's a holiday for you and me, I just set up a meeting knowing we were coming out here. I want to buy Pectorial as an investment" He explains
"Does that mean you want to move here too?" My voice is shaky
"No baby, I'm happy in San Myshuno, I've got my friends there and my girl, I'm not moving out here but I like coming here and I want to expand my business" He assures me
"You won't be running it?" I ask
"No, I've been teaching Claudia the ropes for the last few months, she's ready to set out on her own" He tells me and I'm relieved that nothing has to change.

We drive back to the hotel to relax before we have to head over to Pectorial.
"Do you wanna play Mario Kart?" Angus asks me when we are sitting on the lounge
"They have Mario Kart? I am the best at Mario Kart" I warn him, he fires up the console and hands me a controller
"There's no boyfriends in Mario Kart though" He says
"What does that even mean?" I ask confused 
"It means that I won't go easy on you, I will throw turtles at you and run you off the road. I'm competitive, you know that" He smiles widely at me
"Bring it on, I beat you at every race, guaranteed" I get fired up
"What? As Princess Peach?" He laughs
"As Shy Guy, he's small and handles the kart well" I correct him, "And who will you be picking?"
"Walugi, I like playing the bad guys" He laughs
We pick our karts, as always I pick the circuit special and metal wheels and the teddy bear glider. I lock in my choice while he goes through every option of karts and bikes, wheels and kites, making sure they've got the best speed and acceleration, he settles for a bike with slick tyres and paraffin glider.
"Ready?" He asks me
"Sure am"
"You can pick the first tracks"
I pick the Shell Cup, I love Moo Moo Meadows and I kill at Toad's Turnpike. We start racing and I pull ahead to win the first race, he wins the second, I win the third and it comes down to Toad's Turnpike, He winks at me as the countdown starts and I sped off once it hits 3, climbing the walls in my kart to avoid obstacles, throwing bananas and turtles behind me and I cross the finish line in first place.
"I'll just sit and wait for you to finish shall I?" I laugh
"I bow to the Queen of karting" He praises me, "But lets see how well you do on Rainbow Road"
"I can safely say now that I will lose, Rainbow Road is my downfall"
We play the Lightning Cup and he wins all four races.
"I give you back the crown" I tell him
"You're a good challenger though" He says smiling
"So you have Mario Kart at your apartment?"
"Yeah"
"So all this time I've been wasting time having sex with you when we could of been racing" I joke
"You cheeky fuck, I love you" He leans over and kisses me, "You love the sex, don't lie"
"Oh I do" I laugh

We drove to Pectoral Fitness late in the afternoon. Walked in we were greeted at the reception desk by a tall, muscular man
"Hi, welcome to Pectoral Fitness, my name is Alexander, how can I help you?"
"I have a meeting with Mr Ward" Angus tells Alexander
"Yep, I'll just call him" Alexander picks up a phone and dials "Mr Ward, Mr McKenzie is here to see you, I'll send him to your office", Alexander hangs up the phone "He's waiting for you sir"
"Awesome, thanks" Angus says to him, then turns his attention to me, "The pool is downstairs, I'll come find you there when I'm done baby" He kisses me and walks away.
"Would you like a locker miss?" Alexander asks me
"Yes please and call me Zoey please" I reply and he walks me to the lockers, I place my things inside, take my dress off to reveal my one piece, red swimsuit, grab my towel and head down to the pool area.
The pool water is the perfect temperature and there's no one else swimming, I love this place already. I decide to swim laps but give up after 5 and just wade around in the water.
"I like the red suit" I hear Angus say behind me as he's climbing in.
"That was so quick, how was your meeting?" I ask
"You are now looking at the owner of Pectoral Fitness" He announces proudly, I swim to where he is and hug him tightly
"Congratulations" I kiss him softly
"Thank You Princess, it's not offical yet though, have to take the contract to my lawyer to look over and then arrange payment but it will be mine" He explains, "We should celebrate though, I wanna take you out somewhere fancy tonight and get you really drunk" He says and I wrap my legs around his waist.
"Only if you get drunk too, it's not fun being the only one"
"I'll try but you're a lightweight Zoey" He laughs at me, "We should shower and head back to the hotel. I put my things in your locker too so if you get out before me can you grab them?"
"No troubles" I say as I wrap my towel around myself and run off to the shower. I'm surprised to find that this gym gives you a fresh, wrapped soap when you enter the showers and it smells like peaches. If I could train in a gym like this then I'd be in heaven.
I jump out of the shower, wrap my towel around myself and walk out to the lockers to retrieve my dress and underwear, regretting not grabbing them before I showered considering the locker room is unisex. I open the locker to see Angus' phone flashing, two missed calls from Steph in the last hour. I grab what I need and run back to the shower block to change, when I come back out Angus is standing my the locker, he hands me my phone and bag.
"Did you get strawberry soap?" He asks me
"Mine was peach, I smell peachy" I tell him, he leans down to smell me
"You smell divine baby. Ready to go?" He asks, holding out his hand, I take it and we walk out together

I think he knows

Wednesday took forever to come around and even when it arrived the hours dragged by. Declan drove Himself, Tess and I to the gym for training that afternoon, Angus, as per usual was waiting for us at the desk.
"I missed you" I greet him, hugging him tightly
"Ugh, it's been two days, get a room kids" Tess pretends to complain as she pokes me in the ribs
"Where's you bags Princess?" Angus asks me concerned that Ive forgotten them
"In Declan's car, I'll get them afterwards. Can I please be told where we are going?" I beg
"We know where you're going" Tess teases me
"She gets told and I don't? That's not fair" I pout
"I'll tell you when we get to the airport but for now I need you guys to start warming up" Angus tells us and we run off to the mats and start our warm up routine.

Our session goes by slowly but finally it's over, I collect my bags from Declan's car and say my goodbyes to Declan and Tess. She pulls me in tight for a hug
"I'll miss you to the moon and back" She tells me
"I'll miss you more Teresa" I promise her, we pull back from our hug and I see her eyes are filling with tears. Tess never cries unless something is really gets to her. They drive away and we go up to the apartment.
"What time is our flight?" I ask Angus, thinking it's getting late
"7pm, it's a 3 hour flight and there's a time change so we will be arriving at 7pm too" He explains, "Did you pack an extra bag to leave here for when we come back Saturday?"
"Yep and I packed enough underwear to last me a month" I laugh, I always over pack because I fear I'll need something while I'm away from home.
"Medication too?" He asks
"Yep, I got everything, the pill, anti anxiety, aspirin, paracetamol, ibuprofen, multi vitamins, you name it, I packed it" I may be slightly over prepared.
"Ok, shower first and then we go" He says

The airport is busy and we join a long line of passengers checking bags in.
"You've been very patient so I'm going to tell you" Angus says, dragging it out
"Where are we going?" I'm bursting with excitement 
"We are going to Del Sol Ray" He announces and I wrap my arms around him, I was secretly hoping we were going to Del Sol Ray, I've heard it's the celebrity capital of the world. 
We pass through security and head towards the waiting lounge for first class passengers, a secluded area where they have food, drinks and video games.
"You spoil me" I tell him, filling a bowl with pasta and meatballs
"You're worth it" He assures me as he fills a plate with steamed vegetables, I love at it and just giggle.
We board our flight just after 7pm, taking our seats and watch the safety video. My nerves are starting to kick in as we start taxiing down the runway. Angus grabs my hand and holds it firmly in his.
"Just breathe baby, it will be ok" He tries to soothe me as the plane lifts off the ground
"I don't like this" I whisper to myself, squeezing his hand and shutting my eyes. Tess made me ride the wooden rollercoaster at a theme park over and over a few Summers ago, I was terrified with every dip it took and it was on a track, the plane is just flying through the air a million kilometres from the ground and we are just going up higher and higher until suddenly it stops climbing and levels out. I loosen my grip on Angus' hand, I've probably crushed it out of fear. A stewardess comes through the cabin and offers us champagne and potato chips, this part of flying I like. I let go of Angus' hand and watch him stretch it out
"Did I hurt you?" I ask him worried
"No but you do have a strong grip" He laughs and I blush
"How many times have you been to Del Sol Ray?" I ask
"Too many times to count, I'm thinking of buying a house out here eventually" He says casually as if it's no big deal to purchase property in Del Sol Ray, where the housing prices go into the millions.

We land just after 730, hire a car and drive to our hotel to check in, the receptionist hands us the keycard to the penthouse, a room that can only be described as grand, two bedrooms, both with an ensuite, lounge room, dinning table and full kitchen, it's luxury.  I text Tess to let her know we arrived safely. Angus pops open a bottle of champagne, grabs two flute glasses and carefully pours it into the glasses, handing me one.
"Shall we order room service? Cheseburgers and fries?" He suggests, studying the menu
"Yes please" I say, sipping my champagne. 
"Do you want to try out the spa tonight" He asks, cheeky smile spreading across his face
"Where is the spa?" I don't remember seeing it, he draws the curtains and opens the door to the balcony, we step outside and there, sure enough, is a spa on the balcony. The balcony looks out over the whole city, we are the highest building, it's a beautiful sight. Our room service arrives and we sit at the dinning table to eat.
"This place is so huge" I marvel and he smiles at me
"This she's impressed by" He laughs
"Won't Imogen get angry that you've spent so much money on a holiday?" I fret
"Doubt it considering she's the one who suggested bringing you here, don't worry Zo, Immie's not the type to get angry"
"I'm getting tired but I want to get in that spa so badly" I tell him
"We can do whatever you want Princess" He tells me and I run off to find my swim suit, "You won't need it, no-one can see us up here" He calls after me
"Really?" I sound like I don't believe him even though I know that there's no other buildings as high as ours. He walks up behind me, lifts my dress over my head and throws it to the floor
"I promise you, no-one will see us"

Angus fires up the spa and I climb in, the water is pleasantly warm against my naked skin, I watch him climb in and he sits across from me, studying me closely

"Baby you didn't ruin my night, you made my night fun, I love dancing with you and I was glad we left early, we were up at 5am remember"
"But you had to take care of me and you didn't get talk to Caleb" I protest
"I talk to Caleb often and having us there was enough for him, as for taking care of you, it wasn't an issue, you were having fun, I like seeing you have fun" He assures me
"It was fun, I love their music, can we go again?" I ask
"Of course we can Princess"he strokes my cheek, "How are you feeling now?
"My hangover is lifting but I'm a bit hungry"
"Bacon and eggs at the cafe on the corner will cure that, shower first then we eat" He leads me to the bathroom, helps me undress and turns the water on.

The Stargazer on a Saturday afternoon is completely different than the night before, it's filled with more tables and happy couples feasting. We order a grazing platter and juice. "I had no idea" I'm somewhat surprised, "So we've done everything today on your list, we've read, we've played, we ate and it's only the afternoon. I've had a great lazy day with my perfect boy"
"Did you assume we are done for the day my girl? My list isn't complete yet"
"What else is there?" I ask confused
"We could watch movies, we could play some more, we could swim" He suggests, big smile flashing across his face
"Oh you're real subtle, hiding it between movies and swimming, thinking I wouldn't notice" I smile back at him
"I don't hide anything from you baby" He says and I let the words wash over me, he is hiding the fact that his ex girlfriend keeps contacting him. "What movie will we watch?" I ask

Wonderland

"Zoey?"
"Hmm?"
"Zo, I'm going for a run and then to work"
"But it's dark and cold" I can feel myself leaving sleep behind and becoming more aware of where I am and who is talking to me.
"It won't be cold once I get going and I'm going to watch the sun rise" Angus informs me, "Do you want to come?" He asks in all seriousness, I open my eyes and can just make out the shape of him crouched down beside the bed. I pause for a moment, taking in what he's asking of me, Zoey Green, up until a month ago, was not one to run but since joining the gym I can now keep a steady pace.
"Are you going to go fast" I'm concerned I won't keep up or I'll slow him down.
"I'll go at a Zoey pace" He promises, I can hear the satisfaction in his voice that he has won me over. I throw back the blankets and climb out of bed, still somewhat groggy from waking up so early.
"What time is it anyway?" I ask hm out of curiosity, more so that I can tell Tess, for once, I was awake before she was.

We ran at a moderate pace from outside the apartment all the way up to Myshuno Meadows where we stopped to watch to sun starting to rise over the ocean, it was a beautiful, breath taking sight and I'm so grateful that Angus woke me up to witness it. "Do you coach many classes there?" I ask, only just realising that I've never paid attention to how much he actually does at the gym
"I run the boxersise class on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday morning I have body burn class which is basically a lot of working with weights, squats and floor work and then I do a bit of personal training occasionally but try to avoid it now. My plate is full though with running the place, dealing with staff and payroll but I love being my own boss" He explains and I look at him confused
"So why did you take on Tess and I then if you don't like doing it?" I ask him
"To be close to you Zoey" He answers, smile spread across his face, "I could of let Claudia or Justin take you on but I wanted you all to myself, even if that meant I took on your sister who never stops talking too" He laughs
"You like Tess, don't act like you don't, I see how you both like to stir each other" I remind him
"I do like Tess now, I didn't when I first met you both though I must admit" He confesses
"Why?" I ask, Ive never known anyone who doesn't like Tess, even when she's in a bad mood she's still fun to be around.
"I thought she was being mean to you, making fun of your social awkwardness and I didn't like it but when I spoke to her later that night I saw how she really is, she only wants the best for you and she pushes you out of your comfort zone not to laugh at you but to broaden your horizons. It was only that first time I met her that I didn't like her but I got her all wrong, now I find her to be hilarious and I enjoy making fun of her because she gives me the same shit back. I really looking forward to her coming in for work experience too, I've just gotta find something that will keep her busy for a week coz I know she gets bored easily" He explains
"She's really great at painting, she takes Graphic Art as an elective, if you need her to paint you a mural or even to paint your bland office" I laugh at the thought of Tess getting to paint those bland walls, she would love that.
"That's not a bad idea actually" He says taking it on board.

We walked all the way back to the apartment, taking our time, I showered and changed into casual clothes, Angus said to leave my gym clothes for Joanna to wash and just come back that afternoon for them.
"Can I borrow a book to read today?" I ask him, I had been browsing his collection of novels for a while now
"Of course you can Zoey, you don't have to ask" He tells me and I run off to pick one to take with me today, I choose 'Seduction by the Sea' and we set out for the gym.
"How are you going to explain to your staff that I'm there today" I ask Angus, considering it was him that wanted to keep it under cover at work so it didn't cause trouble.
"I'm going to be honest with them, I know I set the rule of no fraternising with clients and I should be setting a good example but I don't want to hide you Zoey" He explains and I take his hand as we enter the gym together, Annabelle is seated at the reception desk.
"Morning Gus, I have 3 messages for you" She greets him, "Hey Zoey, please tell me he's not forcing you to spend the day here?" She laughs
"He's not forcing me Annabelle" I assure her as Angus reads through the messages she's handed him.
"Zoey, do you wanna stay with Annabelle while I just quickly return a phone call?" He asks me
"Sure" I reply and I take a seat next to Annabelle as Angus walks off to his office.
"Annabelle can I ask something and we just keep it between us" I can hear the quiver in my voice and I'm hoping I can trust Annabelle if I open up
"Of course Zoey, what's up?" She assures me
"Was one of the messages from Steph?" I ask, nervous as hell, she takes a long pause before answering.
"What makes you ask that Zoey" There panic in her voice, like she's holding onto information but if she shares it then she's afraid Angus will get angry
"She called him yesterday when we were having breakfast and I know it's not the first time either. Angus doesn't know that I know and I'm not going to bring it up unless I have a reason to worry" I explain, I can see Annabelle relax a bit, like she knows I won't betray her if she tells me the truth.
"She called here this morning, she said he wasn't answering his phone, I'm guessing because he was with you." She confirms, "I don't know why she's calling though, she won't tell me but I know they have been talking a bit lately" 
"Should I be worried?" I ask her, panic in my voice
"I know Angus, he's good guy who is there for everyone but he wouldn't stray. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about Zo, he loves you" She assures me
"Worry about what?" Angus asks as he comes walking up behind us, Annabelle and I exchange looks
"Umm worried about having never flown before, I told Annabelle that I'm a little scared to fly and she was reassuring me that we will be fine" I lie to him and I don't feel good about it but I also don't feel good that he's having secret phone calls with Steph either. I am afraid to fly so it's not a full lie.
"You didn't tell me you were afraid to fly baby" He hugs me tightly
"I didn't want you to think I didn't want to go" I tell him
"Annabelle is right, you have nothing to worry about, I've flown heaps, I love it and I'll be there the whole time" Angus comforts me
"See Zoey, I don't think you have anything to worry about" Annabelle says and we both know she's referring to Angus with Steph, I just hope she's right.
"Annabelle I'm going to work up in the cafe today, apparently my office is too bland for Miss Green" He laughs
"Ok, I'll forward calls to your mobile then" Annabelle says in her professional tone but drops it when she talks to me "Come visit me again today Zoey, you make work fun" She smiles at me and I follow Angus upstairs.

"Do you want pancakes Zoey?" Angus asks, studying the menu as we sit side by side in a booth at the cafe.
"Only if you share them with me and we can have strawberries too, I loved those strawberries, they were so juicy" I reply and he places an order, I open my book and begin reading, he opens his laptop and begins working, I rest my head on his shoulder and he places a hand on my knee.
"Do you like the book so far?" He asks me when I'm a few chapters in.
"It's still setting up but it's very lusty but I love romantic novels" I tell him
"I loved it, I've read that book many times, it's got strong characters and a great twist" I can hear the excitement in his voice, like he's sharing something treasured with me.
"Shh, no-one likes spoilers, go back to your reports" I say playfully
"I'm actually putting together next month's timetable, I'm thinking of taking on an extra class too" He corrects me
"What class?"I ask, intrigued 
"Spin class, I'm thinking on a Wednesday afternoon, would you do it if I ran the class?"He asks me
"Would you push me to fast" I don't think I could go at his pace

His phone vibrates and he answers it, "Hey Justin, I'm upstairs, come up, I've got someone I want you to meet", he gives me a smile and hangs up. A few minutes later we are approached by a tall, buff looking guy, looks to be in his late 30's, I do recall seeing him around before though.
"Justin, this is my girlfriend, Zoey" Angus introduces me and Justin laughs
"I was wondering when we were going to officially meet, hey Zoey." Justin greets us

"Everyone knows, we just didn't say anything but it was pretty obvious, leaving together and how you look at the girl" Justin explains and I just look at Angus and laugh.
"Alright, well we are going away next week, Wednesday, coming back Saturday so I'm just doing some shifting around of my schedule, can you take my group on Friday, it's just Zoey's sister, Tess and her boyfriend?" Angus asks Justin
"No troubles" Justin confirms
"Also Imogen is back next week too, on Thursday" Angus says with a smile and I see Justin's face light up, "Justin has been into Imogen since they were in Year 8 together but she's always had a boyfriend" Angus explains to me
"Including Don" I remind Angus, "Does she know that you like her?" I ask Justin
"Not at all, we've just been friends for so long so I doubt she'd see me as anything else" He tells me before adding "That woman is luscious"
"Dude, thats my sister, keep your pervy thoughts to yourself" Angus laughs at him
"She not my sister" Justin replies, winking at me and I smile
"So you two met around 2 years ago but Justin, you've known Imogen all this time?" I ask them both
"Yep, Imogen travels a lot with work so we've been distant friends, keeping in touch through texts and emails but about 2 years ago we caught up for a drink and she brought her foul mouthed, chubby brother along because he had just been dumped by some chick and we hit it off and I told the chubby bastard that he needed to come running with me every morning with the promise of a beautiful sunrise as a reward" Justin explains and I poke Angus in the ribs as he tries to hide his smile behind his hands.
"This is all sounding very familiar Angus" I exclaim
"You're not chubby, you're beautiful, I just wanted company on my run" He kisses my cheek 
"I began training him, this kid had a bad attitude but no confidence and I had to break down so many aggressive walls he had up" Justin continues.
"In my defence I had a shit girlfriend who had cheated on me with my best friend for months and this guy yelling at me to get off my fat arse and get motivated" Angus tells me, hanging his head, I take his hand and give it a little squeeze and he looks at me and winks.
"You were never fat, just chubby" Justin reassures him
"So when did you take over the gym?" I ask Angus
"About a year ago, Justin was looking to sell but wanted to stay on as a trainer and I wanted something to keep me busy. Justin taught me everything I know and I'm grateful for it" Angus replies
"He's still got a foul mouth though" Justin laughs
"Zoey loves it, adds to my bad boy charm" Angus tells him
"Bad boy? You? You're a marshmallow, soft and sweet" I inform him.
My phone starts buzzing, I see it's Tess calling
"Heya" I greet her in a perky tone that could easily challenge her own.
"You're awake? At 8am? I'm surprised" She sounds shocked
"Angus made me go for a run" I tell her and I watch him laugh
"He's making you do sneaky exercise, I love it." She replies, "Whats the plan for tonight anyway?" She asks
"We'll shower after training, can you, I want to talk to you privately though before we go to the Stargazer" I'm nervous but it's a conversation I need to have
"Is everything OK Zoey?" She asks concerned
"Everything is great, I just want some sister time, away from boyfriends" I promise her

"Tess and I will meet you at The Stargazer, we're just going to have coffee together first" I tell Angus and Declan after our training, Angus pulls me in close and whispers in my ear
"If she gets angry at you then you tell me and I'll sort it", I nod and walk to the showers with Tess.
"I brought you some clothes from home" Tess tells me, I love that she knew I needed an outfit for tonight without even asking, she pulls out my favourite red mini skirt and plain black long sleeved t-shirt, she even squeezed my knee high white boots into her backpack. We shower and get dressed then work on make up and hair.
"Black or blue eyeliner?" I ask her
"Black and line your lower lid too" She orders me as she curls my hair.
When we are leaving we dump the backpack with our work out clothes behind the reception desk and make our way to a coffee place across the road, order two mochas, extra foam, we find a seat near the window that overlooks the city, the sun is setting, casting a beautiful red glow between the apartments.
"What's going on Zoey?" Tess asks me suspiciously 
"You know I don't like keeping things from you but I'm also somewhat afraid of you when you get angry at me so I'm hoping you'll keep that in mind" My voice is trembling, I love Tess but she can be scary at times. She stares at me for what seems like forever, her face relaxes like she's just figured out how to solve a puzzle.
"When?" She asks me, taking my hand 
"A few weeks ago, it was my idea, not his, he didn't push me into it" I tell her
"Are you being careful?" She questions me
"Always" I promise her
"Did you think I'd be angry with you?" She asks me
"Yes, I thought you'd lecture me about how I should have waited or you'd make me feel ashamed" I explain
"Zoey, I love you, if you're happy then I'm happy for you and you can tell me anything. I'm not angry" She assures me, "Now, give me details"
"You're really not angry?" I ask, shocked
"You love Angus, He loves you, you're being careful, we're almost 19, do you need anymore reasons why I'm not angry?" She exclaims, so I give her all the details she desires, how sweet he was the first time, how it hurt, how many times we've done it and how he took me to doctor to go on the pill. Tess is impressed. We talked for another hour about what we'd been up to during the week, she told me how Declan was taking her out for dinner tomorrow night, how she'd completed 2 assignments but has another 2 to go and how Sam told Declan he was thinking of asking Cassie to formal but wasn't sure if she was interested, we both laughed about how blind Sam was to Cassie's hints. I love having time alone with Tess, all my worries have just melted away.

When we walked into the Stargazer we found Angus and Declan sitting with Molly and Annabelle. Molly came running up to me when we approach the table, giving me a hug, I introduce her to Tess and they hit it off as I predicted they would, we get to talking about university and how we are coming to orientation tours first we back of school. We arrange to have lunch when we do our tour. I feel his arm slide around my waist and his lips kiss my neck
"I love this skirt, How is this the first time I've seen you wear it?" He whispers to me, I turn to face him, "Wow, I'm loving this full look" He says, kissing me
"Im loving your look too, very hot" I say, taking a look at the dark jacket, jeans and blue t-shirt, he's a great dresser.
"I got you both a drink" He says, pointing to the table, "How did the talk go?" He asks me
"Really good, she's not angry" I tell him
"I'm so glad" He says as Tess comes bouncing up beside us, she looks at Angus and smiles
"Thanks for the drink and for being good to my Zoey" She says, hugging us both
"You're welcome on both counts" He smiles at her, my two favourite people are friends and I couldn't be happier.
The band starts playing, Molly grabs my hand, I grab Tess' hand and we head out to the dance floor. I love their sound even though I know none of their songs. We dance through 3 songs before I need to go back to the table for a drink. Walking over I see Angus is texting, he looks up, sees me coming and puts his phone away.
"Hey pretty girl, I love watching you dance" He says, kissing me
"I thought you were too busy texting to see" I laugh and he looks at me with shame in his eyes
"I was watching baby" He promises 
"Stop watching, come dance with me" I beg him and he obliges, I lead him onto the dance floor where Tess and Molly are. We dance as a group for the next 3 songs, until Tess announces that she needs a drink and Molly complains of sore feet, I use the opportunity to pull Angus in for a dance, just us two.
"I Love dancing with you" He tells me
"You love doing everything with me" I say, confidently and he nods his head in confirmation,
"Are you hungry?" He asks after we've danced together for a bit
"Kinda" I reply
"Only kinda?" He questions
"I am hungry but I don't want to stop dancing to eat but I also know if I don't eat soon I will run out of energy to keep dancing. It's a complicated catch 22" I laugh
"I'll get some grazing plates for the table, that way you can snack and dance" He says, taking my hand and leading me to the bar where we order food for the table and a round of drinks.
"Im getting tipsy" I giggle
"Are you having fun though?" He asks, concerned
"Yep, I love Caleb's band, they've got an awesome sound" I say, snuggling into him, he smells amazing, the scent of freshly washed and aftershave is intoxicating.
We walk back to the table where we find Tess and Declan discussing where we should go after we graduate. It's tradition that graduating year 12s take a holiday somewhere as a celebration for completing high school. So far we had nothing planned and as per usual Tess had volunteered to organise somewhere but she had a lot on her plate already
"I just haven't had time to look but if we don't book somewhere soon we will miss out" I hear her telling Declan
"Where were you thinking though?" He asks her
"Somewhere beachy where we can relax and drink cocktails" She tells him
"And sunbathe" I add, I'm pale and in desperate need of a tan
"How many people?" Angus asks Tess
"Just us, so that's Zoey, Declan, Cassie, Sam and Myself" She counts on her hand, "5 all up"
"I have a house in Sulani, 4 bedrooms, right on the beach, you can stay there if you want" Angus offers and Tess' eyes light up
"That would be perfect, Thank You Angus" She throws her arms around him in joy
"You should join us" I ask him, a week without Angus won't be fun
"I may not be able to do a full week but I could spare a few days" He promises. Our drinks and grazing plates arrives. 
"Baby eat, drink and then we can dance" Angus urges me, I pick up a slice of cheese and some salami, drink half my drink and grab his hand to lead him back out to the dance floor, he comes willingly. I can feel myself going from tipsy to drunk very quickly.
"Zoey we're gonna get you some water ok?" Angus suggests and I groan, water means the end of drinking, he walks me to a quiet corner of The Stargazer and sits me down on couch, "I'll be back, don't move". He walks to the bar, gets a large glass of water, he walks back to where he placed me, crouches down and presents the water to me.
"I'm not drunk anymore" I slur my words 
"Completely sober" He laughs putting the water in my hands, "Let's just drink the water anyway, just for fun", I take small sips just to appease him
"Can we go home?" I ask him, tiredness suddenly setting in and the room is spinning. He takes the half empty glass from my hand, sets it on a table near by, stands up and holds out his hands to help me up.
"I'll call Tess once we get home, just so she doesn't worry" He says, wrapping an arm around my waist to steady me.

Once back at the apartment he helps me up to the couch, pours another glass of water and makes me a bowl of popcorn.
"You barely ate and drank a lot, eat up, I'll call Tess" He tells me
"You love me" I say
'Is that a question or a statement?" He laughs
"Just me, you love just me though right?" I ramble on and he looks at me confused
"Of course just you Zoey" He crouches down in front of me, "Is everything ok Zoey?"
"No but I'm too tired to talk" I tell him as he slips my boots off and picks me up in his arms
"I'll take you to bed Princess" He carries me off to his room and I drift off in a drunken slumber
